Pandora FMS has a functionality that allows to monitor the clusters, regardless of the system or application you are using.

Pandora FMS には、利用しているシステムやアプリケーションに関係なくクラスタを監視する機能があります。

The purpose of this system is to ensure fast, but above all user-friendly monitoring of the clusters.

このシステムの目的は、素早くかつユーザフレンドリーなクラスタの監視を実現することです。

There are two types of clusters:

2種類のクラスタのタイプを想定します。

Active - Active: These are those in which the application or service provided is balanced among all the nodes of the cluster.
Active - Passive: Those clusters in which there is only one node operating simultaneously.
アクティブ - アクティブ(Active - Active): このクラスタでは、クラスタの全ノードで分散してアプリケーションやサービスが提供されます。
アクティブ - スタンバイ(Active - Passive): このクラスタでは、通常一つのノードのみが稼働します。

There are several types of elements in a cluster:

クラスタの要素には、いくつかのタイプがあります。

Common elements

共通要素

These are the modules that must remain active in all cluster nodes, essential for clustering to work.

クラスタの全ノードで稼働している必要があるモジュールで、クラスタ動作に必須のものです。

Balanced elements

分散要素

These are the modules that will be executed only in the active node that will balance from one node to another of the cluster, that is to say, they will report in one agent or another depending on the machine that executes the application.

これらは、あるノードからクラスタの別ノードへ負荷分散する、アクティブなノードでのみ実行されるモジュールです。いうなれば、アプリケーションを実行しているマシンに応じて、いずれかのエージェントでレポートします。

Balanced elements will only be necessary in the case of Active - Passive clusters.

分散要素は アクティブ - スタンバイ タイプのクラスタの場合にのみ必要です。

When monitoring a cluster, the following must be taken into account:

If active cluster - active:

アクティブ-アクティブクラスタの場合

The common modules to be monitored must be present in all the cluster agents. If not, it will not be possible to select them.

監視対象である共通のモジュールがクラスタの全エージェントに存在している必要があります。そうでなければ、選択することができません。

Identical monitors must then be created on all agents in the cluster to monitor the resources needed.

必要なリソースを監視するために、クラスタの全エージェント上に同一の監視項目を作成する必要があります。

If it is an active - passive cluster:

アクティブ-スタンバイクラスタの場合

The common modules will follow the same configuration as an active - active and the monitoring of the balanced modules only on the active node must be configured.

共通モジュールについては上記と同じです。しかし、アクティブノードのみ で動作する分散モジュールを監視する必要があります。

In order to monitor “the active node” you must use conditional monitoring, where the module will only report when a number of preconditions are met.

“アクティブノード” を監視できるようにするには、条件を満たした場合のみモジュールが動作する、条件監視を用います。

Menu Operation → Monitoring → Cluster view → Create cluster.

操作(Operation) → モニタリング(Monitoring) → クラスタ表示 (Cluster view) → クラスターの作成(Create cluster) へ進みます。

Click the New cluster button to start the creation wizard, selecting the “Active - Active” option in Cluster type.

クラスタ作成ウィザードを開始するために クラスターの作成 ボタンをクリックし、クラスタタイプ オプションで “アクティブ-アクティブ(Active - Active)” を選択します。

Once a name, cluster type and target group have been selected, press Next to access the agent selection section.

名前、クラスタタイプ、対象グループを選択したら、エージェントを選択するセクションへアクセスするために、次ボタンをクリックします。

Once the agents have been selected, click on Update and continue. In this step, all the critical modules for the service to be monitored are selected from the agents added to the cluster.

エージェントを選択したら、更新して次へ(Update and continue) をクリックします。このステップでは、クラスタに追加されたエージェントから、監視を行いたい サービスにとってクリティカルとなるモジュール をすべて選択します。

A threshold in percentage of nodes (%) must be selected to define the cluster states based on common modules (OK and not OK).

共通モジュール(OK か OK でないか)に基づくクラスタの状態を定義するためのノードのパーセンテージ(%)しきい値を選択します。

After configuring the cluster you can add alerts on the different elements of the cluster so that a certain action is taken when changing the modules you select to a specific state.

クラスタの設定をしたら、クラスタの異なる要素に対してアラートを追加することができます。選択したモジュールが特定のステータスに変化したときに特定のアクションが実行されます。

After adding the alerts, press Finish. After the evaluation of the modules you will see the cluster map with the status information.

アラートを追加したら 完了(Finish) をクリックします。モジュールの評価が行われると、ステータス情報とともにクラスタマップを見ることができます。

If the cluster is of type Active - Active, only the common elements will be visible.
The thresholds indicate the percentage of modules in a different from normal state.

クラスタが アクティブ-アクティブ(Active - Active) タイプであれば、共通要素のみ表示されます。
しきい値は 正常でない 状態のモジュールの割合を示しています。

Click New cluster to start the cluster creation wizard, selecting for this example the “Active - Passive” Cluster type option:

クラスタ作成ウィザードを開始するために 新規クラスタ(New cluster) をクリックし、“アクティブ-スタンバイ(Active - Passive)” クラスタオプションを選択します。

Once you have selected a name, a cluster type and a target group, click Next to access the selecting agent section. You may return to the previous stap at any point of the process by means of the Go back button.

名前、クラスタタイプ、対象グループを選択したら、エージェントを選択するセクションへアクセスするために、次(Next) ボタンをクリックします。 戻る(Go back) ボタンを使用すると、任意の時点で前のステープに戻ることができます。

Select in this step all the critical modules for the service that you want to monitor from among the agents that have been added to the cluster:

このステップでは、クラスタとして監視を行いたい サービスにとってクリティカルとなるモジュール をすべて選択します。

Then select a node percentage threshold (%) is selected to define the cluster states based on common modules (OK/not OK).

共通のモジュール(OK/NG状態)に戻づくクラスタの状態を定義するためのノードのパーセンテージ(%)しきい値を選択します。

このステップでは、バランスモジュール(アクティブなエージェントでのみ動作)を追加します。クラスタの一部となっている全エージェントの全モジュール一覧が表示されます。

In this last section, the balanced modules critical for the Active - Passive cluster must be selected:

最後に、アクティブ - スタンバイ(Active - Passive) クラスタでクリティカルとなりうるバランスモジュールを選択します。

The modules on the passive node are not created automatically, they must be manually configured and then added to the cluster.

スタンバイノードのモジュールは自動的に作成されないため、手動で設定してからクラスタに追加する必要があります。

After cluster setup, you may add alerts on the different cluster elements, so that a specific action is performed when changing the desired modules to a specific status.

クラスタのセットアップ後、さまざまなクラスタ要素にアラートを追加して、目的のモジュールが特定の状態に変更した際に特定のアクションが実行されるようにすることができます。
