Two-factor authentication has been established over the years as one of the best options for increasing the security of a user account. Starting from version 6.0, **Pandora FMS** incorporates this functionality by integrating with Google's solution called **Google Authenticator®**.

二要素認証は、長年にわたりユーザアカウントのセキュリティを強化するための最良の方法の一つとして確立されてきました。**Pandora FMS** はバージョン 6.0 以降、Google のソリューションである **Google Authenticator®** と統合することで、この機能を組み込んでいます。

To use this functionality, the administrator must have enabled it in the [[:en:documentation:pandorafms:cybersecurity:07_safety_functions#ks1_4|authentication section of the global configuration]] of the Pandora FMS web console.

When you click on it a section with information about this feature will appear. After clicking <wrap :en>**Continue**</wrap> and accepting the dialog box that appears, you will reach the secret code generation step. This code will be the one you will have to enter in the code generation application.

When creating a new item in the application you will see that there are two options for creating it:

  * **Manual entry**: The alphanumeric code provided by Pandora FMS must be entered in the <wrap :en>**Code**</wrap> field, along with a name for the item.
  * **Scan the code**: You will need to grant camera access and scan the QR code provided by Pandora FMS, and the item will be created automatically.

  * **手動での入力**: Pandora FMS によって提供される英数字コードを <wrap :ja>**コード(Code)**</wrap> フィールドに入力し、アイテムの名前を入力する必要があります。
  * **バーコードスキャン**: カメラにアクセスし、Pandora FMS が提供する QR コードをスキャンすると、アイテムが自動的に作成されます。

Once created, you can proceed to the next section, after confirming the dialog box, where you will need to confirm that you have correctly completed the procedure by entering the code generated by the application and validating it.

作成したら、ダイアログボックスを再度確認した後、次のセクションに進むことができます。このダイアログボックスでは、アプリケーションによって生成されたコードを入力して検証することにより、手順が正しく実行されたことを確認する必要があります。

  * If the code is valid, the setup will be complete. You can close the information box, and two-factor authentication will be required after successfully logging into Pandora FMS.
  * If the code is invalid, you will need to try again or restart the activation by closing the information box.

  * コードが正しければセットアップは完了です。情報ボックスは閉じられ、Pandora FMS に正常にログインした後、二段階認証が必要になります。

When unchecking the <wrap :en>**Double authentication**</wrap> option, a confirmation dialog box will appear:
