Pandora FMS has a system for managing scheduled service downtimes. This allows alerts to be disabled during service downtimes by deactivating agents.

When an agent is disabled, it does not collect information either, so in the event of a service outage, for most metrics or report types (SLA), the intervals where there is a service downtime **are not taken into account in reports, since there is no data from that time in the agents**.

Generated downtimes will be listed in order of creation date. For a quick search in a long list, you should use filtering by one or more criteria: downtime name, group the downtime belongs to, dates (only applicable for searching downtimes executed <wrap :en>Once</wrap>), execution type, agent, and module.

It is recommended for agents and modules to be selected for the new scheduled downtime to be added **after** it was created.

If Pandora FMS administrator enables token <wrap :en>**Allow create scheduled downtimes in the past**</wrap> in the [[:en:documentation:pandorafms:management_and_operation:12_console_setup#ks1_1|general configuration]] section, it is possible to create scheduled downtimes in the past. They **will not be executed**, but their existence will be reflected in reports. This is particularly relevant as it affects availability and SLA reports, among others.

Notable fields in the creation of scheduled downtimes:

  * <wrap :en>**Group**</wrap>: Group the downtime will belong to. Only one group to which the user creating the scheduled downtime belongs to may be assigned, unless that user explicitly belongs to group [[:en:documentation:pandorafms:management_and_operation:11_managing_and_administration#ks1_2_2|ALL]].
  * <wrap :en>**Execution**</wrap>: It allows you to configure it to run once or periodically, either monthly (<wrap :en>**Monthly**</wrap>) or weekly (<wrap :en>**Weekly**</wrap>) or through **cron**. Depending on the option selected, different ways of setting time periods will be displayed; in periodic mode, you may even set an expiration date (if disabled, the scheduled downtime will not be executed after the specified date).
  * Types of scheduled downtime (<wrap :en>**Type**</wrap> list): <wrap :en>[[#ks2_1|Disable Agents]]</wrap>, <wrap :en>[[#ks2_2|Disable Modules]]</wrap>, <wrap :en>[[#ks2_3|Disable only alerts]]</wrap> o <wrap :en>[[#ks2_4|Quiet]]</wrap>.

  * **名前(Name)**: 計画停止の名前。必須フィールド。

The <wrap :en>**Disable Agents**</wrap> option disables the selected agents. This selection may be filtered using <wrap :en>**Group filter**</wrap> to choose only those agents that belong to a specific group. If the <wrap :en>**Recursion**</wrap> option is also enabled:

To save the new scheduled downtime, click <wrap :en>**Add**</wrap> and the added agents will be displayed in a list at the bottom of the view. Each added agent may be deleted individually.

The <wrap :en>**Disable Modules**</wrap> option disables the **initialized** and selected modules. To do this, first filter by agent groups using <wrap :en>**Group filter**</wrap> and then choose from the agents that belong to a single group. Depending on the agent or agents selected in <wrap :en>**Available agents**</wrap>, the <wrap :en>**Available modules**</wrap> list will display the corresponding modules. In <wrap :en>**Selection mode**</wrap>, the default option is to show each and every one of the modules of the selected agents (<wrap :en>**Show all modules**</wrap>) or, conversely, you may show only the modules in common —those with the same name— (option <wrap :en>**Show common modules**</wrap>).

Using <wrap :en>**Group filter**</wrap>, when you select a group, the available agents will be displayed in <wrap :en>**Available agents**</wrap>. From there, you may select one or more agents, and modules will be updated in <wrap :en>**Available modules**</wrap>. You may also select all of them using option <wrap :en>**Any**</wrap>. You may display the modules common to the selected agents in <wrap :en>**Show common modules**</wrap> or, alternatively, display all modules with <wrap :en>**Show all modules**</wrap> and thus make a new module selection. To finish off, click <wrap :en>**Update**</wrap> to update the values of the newly created scheduled downtime.

Once the modules have been added to the scheduled downtime, you may modify, delete, or add modules (which are available according to the selected filter).

When a scheduled service downtime is "active" (<wrap :en>**Running**</wrap>), it cannot be modified or deleted, and there is an option to stop its execution (<wrap :en>**Stop downtime**</wrap>).

The method for managing service downtimes is too specific, and there are often certain "cyclical" situations that must be taken into account, such as quickly and promptly deactivating all agents or scheduling a general downtime every week from a certain time to a certain time.
